there were three elephants
having a conversation
up upon a shelf
(as opposed to down upon a shelf)
I could barely over hear them
and yes I was by myself

they were planning
a little bit of
a rampaging
up there upon the shelf
well it did occur to me
in my overhearing moment
that maybe they would
perhaps have to jump off
the shelf for the rampaging
to a be real riotous rampaging
as elephants starting and not really stopping
until an ENORMOUS amount of damage is done
is probably a recommended method for accomplishing rampaging.

but seeing as when they were
talking about this and I was barely overhearing
it is possible that their lips (elephants do have lips) were not really moving .

so a safe conclusion could be made is that there is no rampaging to be had.

and they were just passing the time there
up upon the shelf  (as opposed to down upon the shelf)

When a person speaks softly
it comes from the heart
Best to listen carefully
it could be worth
the time.

Beginning
So I went for a walk

Everyone was gone

Or

Sleeping

there was no one to talk

Just the threatening rain
And the wind

A walk is better than
Holding it in

This is how it works
Pathos (personal pathos that is)
moves into the stratosphere
bringing closer
all the junk and people
that we somehow attract
BUT we say we don’t want near

Well…. such a totally misuse of energy
No wonder we brood like chickens in a
hen house full of rotten eggs

It would be better if we were
enlightened and moved on
ahead
and found something more useful
to do instead

I think I will leave that

I was riding on my bike
and a voice cried out to me
“please help us, we are hanging from this tree!”
I quickly turned around
and what did I see?
Two little cute oranges giving a wink
saying ” Come have a bite of me.”
( sounds a little like the Garden of Eden)
I took a step closer
It was step of disbelief
with a sigh of relief
to know I wasn’t crazy
they were really talking to me
(I mean they could have been talking to someone else)
“Okay,” I said, let’s get down to business. What do you want me to do ?”
“Just reach up and put us in your pack. We want to go to your house and take a little nap”

So I did.

I just got talked into it

but it really wasn’t intentional at ALL.

Weather forecast is fairly benign
You look out your window
I will look out mine
dreary rain
scattered sunshine
with a chance of mud

Streaked windows
Rivelets of water
in and out

Perhaps a little change
is something that could read

“Weather: slightly interesting
with a chance of Bugs
Big and Little
don’t you nevermind
crawiling, appalllllling
all whilly nilly in a
line raining and crashing
and rolling about …..”

Now that would be
something to write
no doubt.

IF you are wearing your sadness
You should wear it
Outside in the sun
where there is no place to hide

If you do you will see
there are other people
sitting there
Sunning their sadness

Just like you.

But if it is raining….

just don’t talk to anybody

go back to bed

if you are not feeling deadly in the morning
you can wake up and try again.

while you are playing cards
drinking beer
taking off your glasses
scratching your head
bringing the newspaper near
your eyes are shot
your hair is thin
your wife’s attention is only just a whim
“Liver Flush” catches your eyes
You are totally confused
is “Liver Flush” when you are playing cards
or that you have had a lot to drink.
