so these thoughts
are hard to explain

It is the summer
and Bug Plantation
has come to town
We are going to get rid
of them
So they won’t be hanging around
We can squish them
stomp them and spray
It all be fine
Besides that they don’t
belong to your family
or mine

Picked up a flower
like a sunburst
Tucked it in my purse
Days later
Hmmm
Looked a little worse

Like a dangling thought
once thought
and then forgotten

tucked in the box of
eggs
We are only available
for eating 30/06 til 30/07
but don’t be alarmed
if we expire before dates
or unexpectly grow legs
But if we had enough brains
to think we won’t be sitting
all lined up in a little box side
by side waiting to be cracked,
beaten and eaten.
