I Don’t Want

I don’t to be an old lady
Even when I am old
All my aches and pains
And times at night when my feet
get hot and cold

please proceed with caution
when you wander
through this poem
it is for mature audiences
so close your eyes and scroll
Warning issued, I warned you
You have been told

The times when my beloved says
things aren’t like or where they used to be
Could be true,
but you only see what you want to see

I don’t want to be sad in the morning when
I slide out of bed
I don’t want to be an old lady
Even if it comes before I am dead
